Ingredients of Vegetable  biryani

  1. Make ready 1 cup of Basmati rice.
  2. Take 1.75 cups of Water.
  3. You need 1/2 cup of Mixed vegetables.
  4. You need 1 of Tomato.
  5. You need 1 of Onion.
  6. Prepare 5 of Beans.
  7. You need 1 of Green chilli.
  8. Make ready 1 inch of Ginger.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  10. Prepare 8 cloves of Garlic.
  11. Make ready 1/3 cup of chopped mushrooms (optional).
  12. Prepare 1/3 cup of cauliflower and cabbage.
  13. You need 1/2 cup of capsicum.
  14. You need 3/4 tbsp of ginger & garlic paste coriander leaves.
  15. It’s 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  16. Prepare 3/4 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  17. You need 1/2 tsp of Dhaniya powder.
  18. Take 1.5 tsp of Biryani masala powder or Garam masala powder-.
  19. Prepare as needed of Salt.
  20. It’s 2 tbsp of Ghee.
  21. Take 1 tbsp of cooking oil.

Vegetable  biryani step by step

  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for 5-10  minutes in 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. 1.75 cups of water Wash and chop all the vegetables like onions,tomato,ginger,garlic & green leaves into small cubes..
  2. In a pressure cooker base,heat ghee or oil  and add the mustard seeds..
  3. Add Onions,ginger,garlic,mint and coriander leaves. Saute everything well for a minute. Now add the tomato along with the chopped vegetables..
  4. Saute till tomato turn mushy. Add the required salt to quicken the process..
  5. After the tomato turns mushy,add red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, biryani masala powder and turmeric powder Mix well for a minute..
  6. Lastly add the washed & drained rice and saute well for a minute. Now add the required water and pressure cook in low flame for one whistle..
