Ingredients of Prawns Pakoras
- It’s 450 gm of Prawns/Shrimps (peeled deveined and cleaned).
- Take 1 Cup of Onion (finely Chopped).
- You need 2 tsp of Ginger Garlic and Green Chilli Paste.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
- Prepare 4 tsp of Lime Juice.
- Make ready As needed of Bread crumbs.
- It’s 2 of Eggs.
- Make ready 1-2 of Chopped Green Chillies (optional).
- It’s 1/4 Cup of Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves.
- You need As needed of Cooking Oil (For Deep Frying).
- You need To Taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1 pinch of Sugar.
- Make ready 1/2 Cup of Water (for steaming the prawns ).
Grind the prawns, onion, chillies, ginger and garlic in a food processor.Add a little water if needed.Prawn pakora has a definite ring to it don't you think?And why wouldn't it - sweet king prawns marinated in muddled ginger, garlic, chilli and lemon juice.
Prawns Pakoras step by step
- Firstly, take a pan with cover & with the measured water parboil the prawns- post seasoning it with some salt, until it’s tender enough & drain it out from the pan with the help of a strainer (if still some remaining water is there & not completely evaporated.
- In a pan- Heat some cooking oil & add in the sliced onions, 3G paste, salt & sugar, dry spices, coriander leaves and sauté well until everything’s nicely combined and gets finely cooked, allow it to cool slightly & blend it slightly coarse, in a blender jar.
- Now, in 2 separate wide bowls break the eggs & whisk it well with a pinch of salt and in another spread the bread crumbs & you’ve to be careful to use these two ingredients separately individually with your left & right hands, so as not to mix with each other to retain it's crispness.
- Now, in a frying pan heat sufficient cooking oil for the deep frying of these pakoras…shape them into round & flat, then with your left hand dip it into the egg batter & with the right hand dust it into the breadcrumbs- repeat this very process twice for the added & extra crispness & deep fry them.
