Ingredients of Mapo Tofu

  1. Prepare 2 of gloves garlic minced.
  2. You need 1 inch of ginger minced.
  3. Make ready 2 of scallions sliced.
  4. It’s 14 oz of soft tofu cubed.
  5. Prepare 1 tablespoon of canola oil.
  6. Take 1/2 pound of ground pork.
  7. Make ready of Ingredients for sauce.
  8. You need 1 tablespoon of tobanjan.
  9. Prepare 1.5 tablespoons of gochujang.
  10. Make ready 2 tablespoons of mirin.
  11. Make ready 1 tablespoon of miso.
  12. You need 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce.
  13. Take 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce.
  14. Prepare 1 teaspoon of sesame oil.
  15. Take 1 teaspoon of corn starch.
  16. Prepare 4 tablespoons of water.

Mapo Tofu instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients for sauce.
  2. Heat oil on medium high heat and add garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground pork and cook until no pink meat remains. Add sauce and stir thoroughly.
  4. When sauce is boiling, add tofu and stir to coat. Add green onion and remove from pan.
  5. Best served over short grain Japanese rice.
