Ingredients of Dubki chawal
- Take 1 cup of rice.
- You need 1 cup of urad dal soaked overnight and grinded.
- Make ready 1 tsp of heeng.
- You need 1 tsp of haldi powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
- It’s 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- It’s 10-15 of dry mango slices (aamkikali).
- You need to taste of Salt.
- It’s 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Make ready 1/2 tsp of jeera.
- Take 1/2 tsp of methi seeds.

Dubki chawal instructions
- Add three cup water in rice and pressure cook for one whistle.
- In a heavy bottomed utensil heat ghee and add heeng, jeera and methi seed as it turns brown add all the masala and two liter water in it and let it boil.
- Mix half tsp heeng and salt in urad dal paste and mix it.
- Drop small size of balls of batter in the boiling water.
- Add dry mango slices and salt and let it simmer for half an hour.
- When cooked all the balls will float.
- Enjoy it with cooked rice.
Dubki waley aloo are made with out adding any tomatoes.It is cooked in an Iron kadhai.It is a thin curry with less aloo and more watery curry.
This is one of my favourite aloo sabzi as it's easy, delicious and go with almost every thing whether is roti, paratha, poori or some jeera rice, plain rice.Dubki Kadhi is a curd based one pot dish from the Indian state of Chattisgarh.Dubki word in Hindi means to dive , here small dumplings made from soaked and ground black gram (urad dal) are dropped into boiling kadhi , hence the name.Dubki kadhi is very different from the Punjabi kadhi in many aspects.Other must-try dishes are Farra and Dubki Kadhi Chawal.
