Ingredients of Afgani Chicken

  1. You need 600 gm of Chicken.
  2. Take 3 of Onion roughly chopped.
  3. Take 1 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  4. You need 1/3 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  5. Make ready 1 cup of Curd.
  6. Take 1 inch of Cinnamon.
  7. Make ready 4 of Cloves.
  8. It’s 2 of Black cardamom.
  9. It’s 2 of green cardamom.
  10. Make ready 1 of Bay leaf.
  11. Make ready 1 tsp of Garam masala.
  12. You need 2 of Green chilli.
  13. Take to taste of Salt.
  14. You need 1/2 cup of Dry fruit paste(pistachio, cashew and melon seeds).

  1. Take chicken in a bowl. Add 2 spoon dahi, salt, Turmeric, garam masala, Ginger garlic paste and marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add Chhoti & badi Elaichi long,dalchini and tej patta.Now add roughly chopped onion. Saute for approx 7-8 minutes..
  3. Take out the mixture and keep aside to cool. Now grind the mixture and make it paste..
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add marinated chicken. Saute for 5-6 minutes and add mixture paste..
  5. Now add dahi and salt to taste. Close the cover of the pan and cook for 20-25 minutes on medium flame..
  6. Lastly add 1/2 cup Posta, Kaju and magaj paste..
  7. Afgani Chicken is ready to serve..

I simply followed the recipe as it were.Wash chicken quarters and dry using a clean cloth or paper towel.Prick chicken all over with a sharp kitchen knife and place in a bowl.
