Ingredients of Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

  1. Make ready 3 of chicken breasts.
  2. Take 5 of potatoes, peeled & cubed.
  3. Take 5 of carrots, peeled & sliced.
  4. Make ready 2 cups of cauliflour, chopped.
  5. Take 1 of yellow onion, sliced.
  6. Make ready 2 of garlic cloves.
  7. It’s 3 of celery sticks, sliced.
  8. Make ready 1 can of whole kernel corn.
  9. It’s 32 oz of chicken broth.
  10. You need 2 tbsp of garlic salt.
  11. Make ready 1 tbsp of dried minced onion.
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp of oregano.
  13. You need to taste of salt & pepper.
  14. Prepare 16 oz of box elbow macaroni noodles (or whichever you prefer).

Also added two cans of condensed cream of chicken soup for a creamier soup.Pat chicken dry with paper towels; sprinkle with salt and pepper.Comfort food shouldn't have to be complicated.Brimming with chicken, vegetables and egg noodles, and seasoned with fresh parsley, pepper, bay leaf and chopped garlic, this chicken noodle soup is comfort food made simple.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup step by step

  1. Start off by boiling chicken breasts in a deep soup pot, add garlic cloves. (Don't fill completely with water. Only enough to boil chicken).
  2. While chicken is boiling, peel potatoes & cube in medium size cubes, set aside. Then peel & slice carrots, celery, onion & cauliflour; set aside until chicken is done boiling..
  3. When chicken is done boiling, remove the breast from the water, place on a plate to cool down. Then add prepared veggies to the same water used to boil the breasts..
  4. Once cooled a little, shred chicken with a fork & return chicken back to the pot with veggies..
  5. Add chicken broth, can of corn (do not drain) & seasonings. Boil for another hour or until veggies are tender..
  6. While soup is boiling, take this time to boil noodles according to directions on the box, drain & set aside to add later to your own personal bowl of soup. (I do this because I have picky eaters in my house who don't like noodles in their soup) or (if you want) you can add your noodles to the soup the last 10-15 mins. Serve with crackers (optional) & enjoy!.

I did not cook the chicken first.I simmered it in the broth with the vegetables for more flavor.Used frozen egg noodles and added garlic.
