Ingredients of Shakkar pare Chaat

  1. Take 1 cup of maida.
  2. It’s 2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  3. It’s 1/2 cup of semolina.
  4. You need 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
  5. You need 1/2 tsp of asafoetida powder.
  6. Prepare 1 cup of chopped tomatoes.
  7. Take 1 bowl of potato paste (1 big potato boiled, peeled, mashed, added 4-5 tbsp of water and mixed).
  8. Take 1 tsp of garam masala.
  9. Take 1 tbsp of red chilli powder.
  10. Make ready 1 tsp of chaat masala.
  11. Take 1 tsp of raw mango powder.
  12. Take 2-3 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  13. It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of sugar.
  15. It’s 2 tbsp of thick sugar syrup.
  16. Make ready 2 tbsp of nylon sev.
  17. Make ready 1 of chopped & fried green chilli.
  18. It’s as needed of Wheat flour for dusting.
  19. Make ready as needed of Homemade ghee.

  3. Then prick the shakkarpaare using a fork to prevent bubbles..
  4. Deep fry the shakkarpaare in oil. Keep aside..
  5. For the sauce, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds & let them crackle. Add asafoetida powder..
  6. Add chopped tomatoes, cover & let the tomatoes cook for 2-3 minutes..
  7. Add water. Mix and add potato paste. Let it simmer..
  8. Add garam masala, red chilli powder, chaat masala, raw mango powder, sugar, turmeric powder, salt. Mix & let the spices cook..
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves & mix..
  10. To assemble the dish, place shakkar pare in the serving plate. Add the sauce, homemade ghee, thick sugar syrup, nylon sev, coriander leaves & chopped & fried green chilli..
