Ingredients of Idli Dosa
- Prepare of rice.
- Prepare of urad dal (white wala).
- You need of methi seeds.
- You need of Salt.
- It’s of Water.
- It’s of Oil.

Idli Dosa step by step
- Soak urad dal,rice, methi seeds separately for minimum 5 hours.
- Grind in soaked rice, urad dal with methi seeds separately.
- Now in a big double size container. Mix them well..
- Keep it aside for night in hot place.
- Tip : don't add salt as it stops fermentation.
- Now in next day. Mix well. Add in salt..
- For Idili :.
- Grease your Idili plates. Add in water in the Idili container..
- Pour in the batter in Idili plates. Not fully but keeping a little space.
- Now place them in the container. Cover it and steam it for 12- 15 minutes..
- Remove and keep it aside to cool. Now remove using using small spoon.
- Your yummy fluffy Idili are ready..
- For Dosas π.
- Add in water and adjust the consistency. Don't add using jug or glass. Add in using 1 by 1 tbsp slowly..
- Mix well..
- Now heat a dosa tawa. Add in oil and rub it along gently. Now spill in some water. Wipe it.
- Add in dosa batter and spread gently. Sprinkle oil and cook it for minimum 2 minutes..
- Once done remove it on a plate.
- For the next one sprinkle some water so that the temperature becomes low..
- Now again make the dosa same way..
- Serve hot idilis and Dosas with coconut chutney ππ.
The podi is mixed with ghee or gingely oil or just.Can you make dosas with leftover idli batter? - Yes, of course!!But you can make a better dosa by watering it down just a bit.
