Ingredients of Dal Makhani

  1. It’s 1 cup of black gram pulses(head saboot).
  2. You need 1/4 cup of Rajma.
  3. Make ready 2 tbsp of malai.
  4. It’s 1 of chopped onion.
  5. It’s 2 of chopped tomatoes.
  6. It’s 1 tbsp of grated ginger.
  7. It’s 3 of garlic cloves.
  8. It’s 2 tsp of pure ghee.
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  10. You need To taste of salt.
  11. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
  13. It’s 1/4 tsp of garam masala.
  14. It’s 1/4 tsp of kasoori methi.
  15. Take as needed of Water.

  1. Wash the dal & rajma with fresh water & soak them for 3_ 4 hours..
  2. Put Dal & rajma in the cooker with chopped onions, tomatoes,grated ginger, salt & red chilli powder.Add 2 cup of water..
  3. Cover with lid & cook on high flame,After one whistle,slow down the flame & cook for 30 minutes..
  4. Open the lid after 30 minutes & check if everything is properly cooked or not..
  5. Now add 2 tbsp of malai in it & add 1 cup of water.Stir constantly.cook on slow flame for 10 minutes.Switch off the flame..
  6. In a pan,pour 2 TSP of pure ghee with cumin seeds,Cook till aroma smells away..
  7. Pour the cooked dal in the serving bowl & sprinkle the tadka,garam masala, coriander powder on it..
  8. Garnish with kasoori methi & serve hot with chapati or laccha Parantha..
