Ingredients of Sponge Dosa (set dosa)
- Prepare of rice (you can take any kind of rice which available).
- You need of urad dal.
- Make ready of fenugreek seeds.
- Make ready of beaten rice.
- Take of Oil / butter.
Dosa is one of my favourite breakfast and I love making different varieties of dosas.This dosa is very good for health as it has fenugreek and urad dal which also gives the dosa its sponginess.The good thing is I have not added cooking soda or baking powder to prepare this dosa.First Time In Nagpur City The Taste of DAVANGIRI (KARNATAKA).
Sponge Dosa (set dosa) step by step
- Clean rice urad dal fenugreek seeds. Mix and wash 4-5 times soak everything in enough water for 5-6 hours or overnight.
- After soaking overnight take beaten rice wash and soak for about 15-20 min. Now drain water from dal rice mixture and beaten rice now mix beaten rice with dal rice mixter and transfer into blender jar blend like dosa batter add little water when blend.
- Mix contency of batter should not more thick or thin mix one direction and cover it for 6-7 hours (sometimes depend on weather).
- When batter ferment well mix again add salt and if needed add little water.
- Heat up dosa pan (griddle) on medium heat brush little oil on pan (pan should not much hot) now take small bowl full up with batter and spread in circle make round shape roast it untill lower side become brown spread butter on all side on dosa fliup up other side and roast as well.
- Now put on serving plate serve with potato sabji and chutnyes or samber.
- You can enjoy at morning in lunch or evening snack.
Also no need to soak separately, except poha.Unlike normal dosa recipes, sponge dosa has lentils in very very minimal amount.Include soaked rice flakes and puffed rice too.
