Coconut or Nariyal Chutney is a great accompaniment to South Indian dishes such as idli and dosa.

Ingredients of Nariyal Chutney

  1. Prepare 1 of nariyal/coconut.
  2. Make ready 1 tablespoon of peanut.
  3. Take 1 tablespoon of chana dal/gram pulse.
  4. It’s 1/4 tablespoon of jeera/ cumin seed.
  5. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of rai/mustard.
  6. Take 2 tsp of curry leaves.
  7. Make ready 2 of dry red chilli.
  8. Take of tadka.
  9. Prepare 2 tsp of oil.
  10. Take 2 tsp of curry leaves.
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.
  13. It’s 3 of Dry Red chilies.

  1. First take one pan for rosting all dry ingredients like peanut,gram pulse,cumin seed,mustard,red chilli,cari leaves till 5 minutes..
  2. Then cut coconut in small pieces and mix dry ingredients and grind all in mixture grinder with help of some water.make smooth thick paste..
  3. Take this paste in pan and boil this for 2 minutes then gas off..
  4. For tadaka:- put one tadaka pan in gas and add some oil and add mustard,cumin seed,red chilli,cari leaves and add this tadaka in coconut paste..
  5. Ready to serve this nariyal chatani to eat idli,dosa or appe..
