- preheat oven to 350.
- cream margarine sugar and vanilla..
- stir in flour 1 cup at a time..
- place in a tablespoon sized ball onto ungreased cookie sheet..
- bake about 15 min or until bottoms are golden..
- cool on wire rack..
- add a sprinkling of powdered sugar to the tops of cookies when cool if u like..
- store in airtight container..

- FOR MINT MELTAWAYS… add mint extract instead of vanilla and 30 drops of green dye.. make as normal..
- FOR STRAWBERRY MELTAWAYS: use strawberry extract instead of vanilla and add 30 drop red food color.. make as usual..
- FOR BANANA: use banana extract and yellow food color…
