- Take 2 cups of cooked maize and beans(githeri).
- Take 2 of boiled potatoes.
- Prepare 2 of tomatoes.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of oil.
- It’s 1 of onion.
- Take 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- You need to taste of Salt.

- Heat the oil in a sufuria, add chopped onions,fry until translucent.
- Add chopped tomatoes,cook on low heat until the tomatoes are mushy,stirring regularly and breaking up the tomatoe pieces with cooking stick as you stir.
- Once the tomatoes are cooked,add turmeric powder.
- Next add the boiled potatoes and cooked maize and beans.
- Allow the githeri to gently simmer on low heat,giving an occasional stir until the mixture thickens and flavours are well combined.
- Taste and adjust salt.serve hot,garnish with coriander.
